Corpus Christi Tool
I took Tessa to Corpus Christi Texas to catch the Tool Concert and spend a couple of days in the sun. We flew into San Antonio, rented a car, and drove down to Corpus Christi. We had a room in the Doubletree hotel right on the North Beach on the Corpus Christi Bay. This location allowed us to walk all along the beach and over to the USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier Museum and the Texas State Aquarium. The first day was mostly travel. However, we met up with my friend and colleauge Pam Wadham from my days at SM Energy. She took us out to dinner and hung out for a few hours.
The second day we spent walking along the beach and visited the Texas State Aquarium. This was all before grabbing an Uber over to the American Bank Center to catch the Tool concert. We had front row seats for the show which was an amazing experience for the both of us.
The last day we spent a few hours touring the USS Lexington Museum. This is one of the most amazing museums I have ever been too. There is so much history available on board this massive WWII aircraft carrier. Absolutely worth the visit and you could easily spend days there exploring and learning. After this we drove back to San Antonio to catch our late flight back home. We flew all the way to Kalipsell and almost had to turn around and return to Salt Lake City due to heavy fog in the Flathead Valley. Fortunately, we were able to land and get back home very late.
